go for a 400 cc bike to start with

Go for the 600, as long as you feel you have enough experience under your belt. Would you feel comfortable riding a 600 in wet, possibly monsoon conditions? If not, don't get it. Long as you don't ride like a moron, it won't kill you [like a moron]. As for weight, well my old 125 weighs 130kg dry and a ZX-6R weighs ~150kg dry. So its not exactly a world of difference. With the new slipper clutch system and two stage throttle, the ZX-6Rs from the past couple of years should be a doddle to ride.

yeh ur dreaming mate 110 hp out of a 250 !unless your a factory rider and have access to state of the art equipment and parts you wont get half that you shouldnt talk shit coz it makes your breath smell

A 600 will be much heavier and more powerful then your 125. A ninja 250 is slower than a 125 though. It is a hard decision. If you can find one, a yamaha TZ250 would be good, because they are light but can make upwards of 110 horsepower!

what would you all reccomend as a first uperbike, i have a 125cc now, i have been looking at the ninja 250cc but would love the 600cc but do you think it will be too powerful compared to my 125cc?
